Each dress showcased another surreal scene. Mary Katrantzou had been inspired by the graphic interior sets of Guy Bourdin and highly stylized seventies Helmut Newton’s fashion shoots and, as she told us last week.
Katrantzou added trompe l'oeil interior details to the clothes. As the shapes became more and more surreal, skirts were shaped and padded like chandeliers and old-fashioned lampshades, in mixed prints, and embroidered velvet.
